The Wrath of God & Satan (2 different things in the End times)
Know this so you understand the Rapture Timeline Properly
The Great Tribulation, a significant period described in the Bible, is often associated with intense suffering, divine judgment, and spiritual warfare. Central to this apocalyptic narrative is the distinction between the Wrath of Satan and the Wrath of God—two opposing forces operating during this time.
This understanding is not critical for your Belief in Christ but it is important to differentiate the 2 when it comes to getting your eschatology correct.
The Great Tribulation: An Overview
The Great Tribulation is a prophesied period of distress and chaos that will come upon the earth before the second coming of Jesus Christ. It is often linked to the events described in Matthew 24, Daniel 12, and the Book of Revelation. The Bible depicts this time as a culmination of both human rebellion and divine intervention.
I believe we will be here for most of the Tribulation and will be Raptured (Pre-Wrath before the Trumpets and Bowls are poured out) and I can show you this in scripture.
However, many overlook that two distinct forms of wrath are unleashed during this time—the Wrath of Satan and the Wrath of God—each serving a different purpose and originating from opposing spiritual sources.
When you clearly understand that the entire 7 year period of the tribulation is not God’s Wrath then the Rapture makes more sense.
Points to remember:
The Tribulation is a 7 year period in total
What is the Wrath of Satan?
The Wrath of Satan represents the devil's final, furious assault on humanity as his time draws to a close. Revelation 12:12 warns, "Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
Satan's wrath is driven by hatred, vengeance, and an unrelenting desire to deceive, destroy, and dominate. His primary targets are those who follow Jesus Christ—God's elect—and anyone who refuses to bow to his systems of power. The Antichrist, Satan’s chosen vessel, will rise to global prominence, enforcing a brutal regime of persecution against believers.
Characteristics of Satan's wrath include:
Persecution of Christians (Revelation 13:7)
Deception through false prophets and signs (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10)
Global control through the Mark of the Beast system (Revelation 13:16-17)
Mass martyrdom of those who refuse to worship the Beast (Revelation 20:4)
The Wrath of Satan is characterized by destruction fueled by hatred and rebellion against God’s people. It will be a time of suffering caused by wickedness and demonic forces, not divine punishment.
What is the Wrath of God?
The Wrath of God, on the other hand, is the holy and righteous judgment of God against sin, rebellion, and the wickedness of the unrepentant world. Unlike Satan's wrath, which stems from hatred, God's wrath is rooted in justice and holiness.
Revelation 15:1 declares, "Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete."
God's wrath is not chaotic or driven by malice—it is a measured, purposeful response to humanity's rejection of His truth. This wrath will be poured out in the form of the seven trumpet judgments and seven bowl judgments described in Revelation 8-16.
Key aspects of God's wrath include:
Natural disasters and plagues (Revelation 16:1-11)
Darkness and scorching heat (Revelation 16:8-10)
Global economic collapse (Revelation 18)
The final destruction of Babylon, the world’s corrupt system (Revelation 18:21)
While God's wrath will be devastating, it serves as a final act of justice against a sinful world that has rejected His mercy and grace.
The Timing and Purpose of Each Wrath
The Wrath of Satan dominates the first half of the Great Tribulation, as Satan unleashes his fury against believers through the Antichrist’s rule. This time of persecution is often referred to as the Tribulation Period 3.5 years.
However, the latter half of the Great Tribulation, known as the Day of the Lord, is when God intervenes to pour out His divine wrath on the wicked. This shift marks a turning point in prophetic events, where God avenges His people and reclaims the earth from the forces of darkness.
Why Does God Allow Satan's Wrath?
God permits Satan's wrath for a season to fulfill His greater plan. The suffering of believers during this time serves several purposes:
Refining and purifying the faith of the saints (Daniel 12:10)
Separating true followers from false converts (Matthew 24:10-13)
Giving the world one final opportunity to repent before judgment (Revelation 14:6-7)
The Hope of the Saints
Despite the horrors of the Great Tribulation, the Bible offers hope to those who remain faithful to Christ. God's promise is that He will shorten the days of suffering for the sake of His elect (Matthew 24:22), and ultimately, Jesus will return to establish His righteous kingdom.
Revelation 21:4 assures us, "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
Conclusion
The Wrath of Satan and the Wrath of God during the Great Tribulation represent two contrasting forces—one rooted in rebellion and hatred, the other in justice and holiness. Understanding the difference between these two forms of wrath helps believers navigate prophetic scripture with clarity and confidence.
While Satan’s fury seeks to destroy faith, God's judgments ultimately serve to bring redemption and the final victory of righteousness. The Great Tribulation is not only a time of trial but a testament to God’s ultimate plan to restore creation and bring His people into eternal glory.
In the face of what is to come, the greatest assurance for believers is the promise of God's protection, faithfulness, and the eternal hope found in Jesus Christ.

Marge, I know the answers, I don't need to read anything. If you want to know why my answers are what they are, read my article on the End Times and the book Victorious Eschatology. Victorious Eschatology is written by two former theology teachers who were preaching the false narrative for years before researching and writing that book.
