You are coming from a Premillennialism viewpoint. I agree with the Amillennialism view. Neither Jesus nor the apostles use a definitive time reference when they teach the doctrine of the last things. How do we know that the number one thousand in Revelation 20 should be taken literally? Many of the words in Revelation are symbolic and so too the numbers. For example , the number 7 signifies totality and completeness . Check Ezekiel 39: 9 and 12. Both these verses use the number 7 which should be interpreted not literally but symbolically. In like manner, the number one thousand in the Apocalypse conveys not a literal but a symbolic meaning. It denotes the totality of time in which Satan is bound and the saints are reigning with Christ. It expressed not time but completeness.
